حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ

عَنْ عَبْدُ اللهِ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْحَجَبِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْقَطَّانُ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ قَالُوا ثنا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحِزَامِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْأَسْلَمِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَمَّرَهُ عَلَى سَرِيَّةٍ قَالَ فَخَرَجْتُ فِيهَا فَقَالَ «إِنْ أَخَذْتُمْ فُلَانًا فَأَحْرِقُوهُ بِالنَّارِ» فَلَمَّا وَلَّيْتُ نَادَانِي فَقَالَ «إِنْ أَخَذْتُمُوهُ فَاقْتُلُوهُ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُعَذِّبُ بِالنَّارِ إِلَّا رَبُّ النَّارِ» وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ

✧ From 'Abdullah 'Abd al-Wahhab al-Hajabi; and Ishaq b. Ibrahim al-Qattan al-Misri narrated to us; Yahya b. Bukayr narrated to us; they said: al-Mughirah b. 'Abd al-Rahman al-Hizami narrated to us from Abu al-Zinad that Muhammad b. Hamzah b. 'Amr al-Aslami informed him that his father informed him that the Prophet ﷺ appointed him over a raiding party. He said: I went out with it, and he said, “If you seize so-and-so, burn him with fire.” When I turned away, he called me back and said, “If you seize him, kill him, for no one punishes with fire except the Lord of the Fire.” The wording is from the hadith of Sa'id b. Mansur.
