حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَالِي أَرَاكَ تَتُوقُ فِي قُرَيْشٍ وَتَدَعُنَا؟ قَالَ «عِنْدَكَ شَيْءٌ؟» قُلْتُ نَعَمْ بِنْتُ حَمْزَةَ قَالَ «إِنَّهَا ابْنَةُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ»

✧ I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, why do I see you seeking wives among Quraysh and leaving us aside?' He said, 'Do you have someone?' I said, 'Yes, the daughter of Hamzah.' He said, 'She is the daughter of my brother through suckling.'
