حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى السَّاجِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ ثنا السَّرِيُّ بْنُ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي قَبِيلٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا قُتِلَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ؓ احْتَزُّوا رَأْسَهُ وَقَعَدُوا فِي أَوَّلِ مَرْحَلَةٍ يَشْرَبُونَ النَّبِيذَ يَتَحَيَّوْنَ بِالرَّأْسِ فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ قَلَمٌ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ مِنْ حَائِطٍ فَكَتَبَ بِسَطْرِ دَمٍ

✧ When al-Husayn b. Ali ؓ was killed, they cut off his head and sat at the first halt drinking nabidh, greeting each other with the head. Then a pen of iron came out from a wall and wrote in a line of blood.
