حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَسْرُوقِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ أَبِي الْجَحَّافِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

أَمَرَ الْحُسَيْنُ مُنَادِيًا فَنَادَى «لَا يُقْبِلْ مَعَنَا رَجُلٌ عَلَيْهِ دَيْنٌ» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ إِنَّ امْرَأَتِي ضَمِنَتْ دَيْنِي فَقَالَ حُسَيْنٌ ؓ «وَمَا ضَمَانُ امْرَأَةٍ؟»

✧ Al-Husayn ordered a caller, and he called out: 'Let no man with a debt accompany us.' A man said: 'My wife guaranteed my debt.' Husayn ؓ said: 'And what is the guarantee of a woman?'
