✧ When the head of Ubayd Allah b. Ziyad and his companions were brought and placed in the open square, I came to them while they were saying, “It has come, it has come.” And behold, a snake came, weaving through the heads until it entered the nostril of Ubayd Allah. It stayed for a little while, then came out and went away. Then they said again, “It has come,” and it did that two or three times.
