حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّمَّارُ الْبَصْرِيُّ وَعَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ قَالُوا ثنا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ قَالَا ثنا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ زَاذَانَ الصَّيْدَلَانِيُّ قَالَا ثنا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ
اسْتَأْذَنَ مَلَكُ الْقَطْرِ رَبَّهُ ﷻ أَنْ يَزُورَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ فَجَاءَهُ وَهُوَ فِي بَيْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَقَالَ «يَا أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ احْفَظِي عَلَيْنَا الْبَابَ لَا يَدْخُلْ عَلَيْنَا أَحَدٌ» فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ عَلَى الْبَابِ إِذْ جَاءَ الْحُسَيْنُ فَفَتَحَ الْبَابَ فَجَعَلَ يَتَقَفَّزُ عَلَى ظَهْرِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَلْتَئِمُهُ وَيُقَبِّلُهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ الْمَلَكُ تُحِبُّهُ يَا مُحَمَّدُ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّ أُمَّتَكَ سَتَقْتُلُهُ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ أَنْ أُرِيَكَ مِنْ تُرْبَةِ الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي يُقْتَلُ فِيهَا قَالَ فَقَبَضَ قَبْضَةً مِنَ الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي يُقْتَلُ فِيهِ فَأَتَاهُ بِسَهْلَةٍ حَمْرَاءَ فَأَخَذَتْهُ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ فَجَعَلَتْهُ فِي ثَوْبِهَا قَالَ ثَابِتٌ «كُنَّا نَقُولُ إِنَّهَا كَرْبَلَاءُ»

✧ The angel of rain sought permission from his Lord, exalted and glorified, to visit the Prophet ﷺ, and He granted him permission. So he came to him while he was in the house of Umm Salama. He said: “O Umm Salama, guard the door for us; let no one enter upon us.” While they were at the door, al-Husayn came and opened the door, and he began jumping on the Prophet’s ﷺ back while the Prophet ﷺ embraced him and kissed him. The angel said to him: “Do you love him, O Muhammad?” He said: “Yes.” He said: “Indeed, your ummah will kill him, and if you wish, I can show you some of the soil of the place where he will be killed.” He said: “So he grasped a handful from the place where he will be killed and brought him red soil, and Umm Salama took it and placed it in her garment.” Thabit said: “We used to say that it is Karbala.”
