حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ زِبْرِيقٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي جَدِّي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورُ بْنُ الْمُعْتَمِرِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ الْمُنْكَدِرِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَيُّ اللَّيْلِ أَسْمَعُ؟ قَالَ «جَوْفُ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرُ ثُمَّ الصَّلَاةُ مَقْبُولَةٌ حَتَّى تُصَلِّيَ الْفَجْرَ ثُمَّ لَا صَلَاةَ حَتَّى تَكُونَ الشَّمْسُ قَيْدَ رُمْحٍ أَوْ رُمْحَيْنِ ثُمَّ الصَّلَاةُ مَقْبُولَةٌ حَتَّى يَقُومَ الظِّلُّ قِيَامَ الرُّمْحِ ثُمَّ لَا صَلَاةَ حَتَّى تَزُولَ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ الصَّلَاةُ مَقْبُولَةٌ حَتَّى تَكُونَ الشَّمْسُ قَيْدَ رُمْحٍ أَوْ رُمْحَيْنِ ثُمَّ لَا صَلَاةَ حَتَّى تَغِيبَ الشَّمْسُ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was asked, 'Which part of the night is best for hearing (prayers)?' He said, 'The last part of the night. Then prayer is accepted until you pray the dawn. Then there is no prayer until the sun is a spear-length or two spear-lengths high. Then prayer is accepted until the shadow stands as a spear. Then there is no prayer until the sun declines. Then prayer is accepted until the sun is a spear-length or two spear-lengths high. Then there is no prayer until the sun sets.'
