حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ كَامِلٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْخَفَّافُ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ هَذَا الْوَجَعَ أَوِ السَّقَمَ رِجْزٌ عُذِّبَ بِهِ بَعْضُ الْأُمَمِ قَبْلَكُمْ ثُمَّ بَقِيَ بَعْدُ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَذْهَبُ الْمَرَّةَ وَيَأْتِي الْأُخْرَى فَمَنْ سَمِعَ بِهِ بِأَرْضٍ فَلَا يَقْدَمُونَ عَلَيْهِ وَمَنْ وَقَعَ بِأَرْضٍ وَهُوَ بِهَا فَلَا يُخْرِجَنَّهُ الْفِرَارُ مِنْهُ» وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ اللَّيْثِ

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said: “This pain, or sickness, is a punishment with which some nations before you were punished; then it remained afterwards on the earth, going one time and coming another. So whoever hears of it in a land, they should not advance upon it, and whoever is in a land where it occurs, fleeing from it must not make him leave.” And the wording is that of the ḥadīth of al-Layth.
