حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا طَاهِرُ بْنُ أَبِي أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ثنا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَوْرَاءِ قَالَ كُنَّا عِنْدَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ فَسُئِلَ مَا عَقَلْتَ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ فَقَالَ كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَهُ يَوْمًا فَمَرَّ عَلَى جَرِينٍ مِنْ تَمْرِ الصَّدَقَةِ فَوَجَدْتُ تَمْرَةً فَأَلْقَيْتُهَا فِي فِيَّ فَأَخْرَجَهَا بِلُعَابِي فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ مَا عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَوْ تَرَكْتَهَا؟ قَالَ «إِنَّا آلَ مُحَمَّدٍ لَا تَحِلُّ لَنَا الصَّدَقَةُ»

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? He said: "I was walking with him one day when he passed by a pile of charity dates. I found a date and threw it into my mouth, and he took it out with my saliva. Some of the people said: 'What harm would it have been, O Messenger of Allah, if you had left it?' He said: 'We, the family of Muhammad, charity is not lawful for us.'"
