حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زَيْدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْحَوْطِيُّ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ؓ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا وَقَعَ الطَّاعُونُ بِأَرْضٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا فِرَارًا مِنْهُ وَإِذَا وَقَعَ بِأَرْضٍ وَلَسْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِ» قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ وَسُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ وَخَالَفَهُمَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ

✧ From the Messenger of God ﷺ, he said: “If the plague breaks out in a land and you are in it, do not leave it, fleeing from it. If it breaks out in a land and you are not in it, do not enter it.” Abu al-Qasim said: Thus it was narrated by Abd al-Rahman b. Yazid b. Tamim and Sufyan b. Husayn, and Ibn Abi Dhiʾb differed from them.
