حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ زَاذَانَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ؓ قَالَ

بَيْنَمَا عَائِشَةُ ؓ فِي بَيْتِهَا إِذْ سَمِعَتْ صَوْتًا رُجَّتْ مِنْهُ الْمَدِينَةُ فَقَالَتْ مَا هَذَا؟ فَقَالُوا عِيرٌ قَدِمَتْ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ مِنَ الشَّامِ وَكَانَتْ سَبْعَمِائَةِ رَاحِلَةٍ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ ؓ أَمَا إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ حَبْوًا» فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ فَأَتَاهَا فَسَأَلَهَا عَمَّا بَلَغَهُ فَحَدَّثَتْهُ قَالَ «فَإِنِّي أُشْهِدُكِ أَنَّهَا بِأَحْمَالِها وَأَقْتَابِهَا وَأَحْلَاسِهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ»

✧ While Aisha ؓ was in her house, she heard a sound from which Madinah trembled. She said, “What is this?” They said, “A caravan has arrived for Abd al-Rahman b. Awf from Syria, consisting of seven hundred camels.” Aisha ؓ said, “Indeed I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say, ‘I saw Abd al-Rahman b. Awf entering Paradise crawling.’” This reached Abd al-Rahman, so he came to her and asked her about what had reached him, and she told him. He said, “I call you to witness that it, with its loads, its saddle-frames, and its saddle-cloths, is for the sake of God.”
