حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ صُبَيْحٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ وَكَانَ مِمَّا يَفْعَلُ يَأْتِي الْمِنْبَرَ حَتَّى يَقُومَ عَلَيْهِ فَسَمِعْتُ يَقُولُ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ سَنَّ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ سُنَّةً حَسَنَةً فَلَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا فِي أَنْ لَا يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْءٌ وَمَنْ سَنَّ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ سُنَّةً سَيِّئَةً فَعَلَيْهِ مِثْلُ وِزْرِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا فِي أَنَّهُ لَا يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيْءٌ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever institutes a good practice in Islam has its reward and the reward of those who act upon it without any decrease in their rewards. And whoever institutes an evil practice in Islam bears its burden and the burden of those who act upon it without any decrease in their burdens.”
