حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ
«رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ» قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ فَكَانَ أَصْحَابُنَا يَعْجَبُونَ بِحَدِيثِ جَرِيرٍ يَقُولُونَ كَانَ إِسْلَامُهُ بَعْدَ نُزُولِ الْمَائِدَةِ

✧ “I saw the Prophet ﷺ wipe over his leather socks.” Ibrahim said: Our companions used to marvel at the hadith of Jarir, saying, “His Islam was after the revelation of al-Ma’idah.”
