حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ
«بَالَ جَرِيرٌ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ» فَعَابَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ جَرِيرٌ «إِنْ أَفْعَلَ فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَعَلَ هَذَا»

✧ Jareer rushed to perform ablution and wiped over his socks. One of the people criticized him for doing so, to which Jareer replied, "If I do this, it is because I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do it."
