حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَأَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ زَاذَانَ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا دَخَلَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ فَكَانَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي مَسِيرٍ لَهُ فَدَخَلَ خُفَّ بَعِيرِهِ فِي حُجْرِ يَرْبُوعٍ فَوَقَصَهُ فَمَاتَ فَأَتَى عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «عَمِلَ قَلِيلًا وَأُجِرَ كَثِيرًا» وَقَالَ «اللَّحْدُ لَنَا وَالشَّقُّ لِغَيْرِنَا»

✧ A man entered Islam and was with the Messenger of God ﷺ on a journey. The foot of his camel fell into a jerboa's hole, and it broke his neck, and he died. The Messenger of God ﷺ came to him and said: "He did little and was rewarded much." And he said: "The niche grave is for us, and the trench grave is for others."
