حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَحْيَى عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسٍ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَلَا تُرِيحُنِي مِنْ ذِي الْخُلَّصَةِ» وَكَانَ بَيْتًا فِي خَثْعَمٍ يُسَمَّى كَعْبَةَ الْيَمَانِيَةِ فَانْطَلَقْتُ فِي سِتِّينَ وَمِئةِ فَارِسٍ مِنْ أَحْمَسَ وَكَانُوا أَصْحَابَ خَيْلٍ وَكُنْتُ لَا أَثْبُتُ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ فَضَرَبَ صَدْرِي حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ أَثَرَ أَصَابِعِهِ فِي صَدْرِي وَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ ثَبِّتْهُ وَاجْعَلْهُ هَادِيًا مَهْدِيًّا» فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَيْهَا فَكَسَرَهَا وَحَرَّقَهَا وَبَعَثَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يُخْبِرُهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ جَرِيرٍ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ مَا جِئْتُكَ حَتَّى تَرَكْتُهَا كَأَنَّهَا جُمَلٌ أَجْرَبُ فَبَارَكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى خَيْلِ أَحْمَسَ وَرِجَالِهَا خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Will you not relieve me of Dhul-Khalasah?" It was a house in Khath'am called the Ka'bah of Yemen. So I set out with sixty and one hundred horsemen from Ahmas, and they were people of horses. I was not steady on horses, so he struck my chest until I saw the marks of his fingers on my chest, and said: "O Allah, make him firm and make him guided and guiding." Then he went to it, broke it, and burned it, and sent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to inform him. The messenger of Jarir said: "By the One who sent you with the truth, I did not come to you until I left it as if it were a mangy camel." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ blessed the horses of Ahmas and its men five times.
