حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا ضِرَارُ بْنُ صُرَدٍ ثنا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَسَّانٍ عَنْ أُمِّ الْحَارِثِ بِنْتِ عَيَّاشٍ قَالَتْ

رَأَيْتُ بُدَيْلَ بْنَ وَرْقَاءَ عَلَى جَمْعٍ يَتْبَعُ النَّاسَ فَيُنَادِي إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ لَا تَصُومُوا هَذِهِ الْأَيَّامَ فَإِنَّهَا أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ»

✧ I saw Budayl b. Warqa' on a camel following the people and proclaiming, "The Messenger of God ﷺ orders you not to fast these days, for they are days of eating and drinking."
