✧ A Jewish woman used to visit ‘A’ishah and converse with her. When she got up, she would say: “May Allah protect you from the punishment of the grave.” When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came, ‘A’ishah informed him of that. He said: “She lied. That is only for the People of the Book.” Then the sun was eclipsed, and he said: “I seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of the grave.” Then he said takbir, stood up, and prolonged the standing; then he bowed and prolonged the bowing; then he raised his head, stood up, and prolonged the standing; then he bowed and prolonged the bowing, but less than the first bowing; then he performed two rak‘ahs and two prostrations, standing in them as long as his standing and bowing as long as his bowing.
