حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ قَالَتْ

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ اسْمَعُوا وَأَطِيعُوا وَإِنْ أُمِّرَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ يَقُودُكُمْ بِكِتَابِ اللهِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا قَالُوا وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ؟ قَالَ بَعْدَ الثَّالِثَةِ وَلِلْمُقَصِّرِينَ

Translation

✧ I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: “Listen and obey, even if a slave is placed in authority over you who leads you by the Book of Allah.” And I heard him say: “O Allah, forgive those who shave their heads.” He said it three times. They said: “And those who shorten [their hair]?” He said after the third time: “And those who shorten [their hair].”
