حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ مَعْقِلٍ قَالَتْ

مَاتَ أَبُو مَعْقِلٍ وَتَرَكَ بَعِيرًا جَعَلَهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أَبَا مَعْقِلٍ هَلَكَ وَتَرَكَ بَعِيرًا جَعَلَهُ فِي السَّبِيلِ وَعَلَيَّ حَجَّةٌ؟ فَقَالَ «يَا أُمَّ مَعْقِلٍ حُجِّي عَلَى بَعِيرَكِ فَإِنَّ الْحَجَّ مِنْ سَبِيلِ اللهِ»

✧ Abu Ma'qil died and left a camel that he had designated in the path of Allah. I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, Abu Ma'qil has perished and left a camel that he designated for the cause, and I owe a Hajj?' He said: 'O Umm Ma'qil, perform Hajj on your camel, for Hajj is from the path of Allah.'
