حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَجَلِيُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْجَفْشِيشِ الْكِنْدِيِّ قَالَ
جَاءَ قَوْمٌ مِنْ كِنْدَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا أَنْتَ مِنَّا فَادَّعَوْهُ فَقَالَ «لَا نَقْفُوا أُمَّنَا وَلَا نَنْتَفِي مِنْ أَبِينَا نَحْنُ وَلَدُ النَّضْرِ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ»

✧ A group from Kindah came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said, 'You are from us,' claiming him. He said, 'We do not trace our lineage through our mothers, nor do we disown our fathers. We are the children of al-Nadr b. Kinanah.'
