حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ لُوَيْنٌ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

صَنَعَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ خَطِيفَةً مِنْ شَعِيرٍ كَانَ عِنْدَهَا حُسْتُهُ قَالَ فَأَرْسَلَتْنِي إِلَيْهِ أَدْعُوهُ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ صَنَعَتْ لَكَ خَطِيفَةً مِنْ شَعِيرٍ قَالَ أَنَا وَمَنْ مَعِيَ؟ قَالَ فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَيْهَا فَأَخْبَرْتُهَا فَجَاءَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّمَا هُوَ مُدٌّ وَأَقَلُّ مِنْ مُدٍّ جَعَلَتْ لَكَ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَ أَنَا وَمَنْ مَعِيَ؟ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ فَدَخَلَ الْمَنْزِلَ فَقَالَ لِي «يَا أَنَسُ أَدْخِلْ عَلَيَّ عَشَرَةً» فَدَخَلَ عَشَرَةٌ فَأَكَلُوا حَتَّى شَبِعُوا ثُمَّ قَالَ «أَدْخِلْ عَشَرَةً» فَدَخَلَ عَشَرَةٌ فَأَكَلُوا حَتَّى شَبِعُوا ثُمَّ قَالَ «أَدْخِلْ عَشَرَةً عَلَيَّ» قُلْتُ لِأَنَسٍ كَمْ كَانُوا قَالَ ثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ أَرْبَعِينَ فَأَكَلُوا حَتَّى شَبِعُوا ثُمَّ أَكَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَكَلْنَا حَتَّى شَبِعْنَا قَالَ فَكَأَنَّهُ لَمْ يَنْقُصْ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ وَفِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ شَيْءٌ مِنْ شَعِيرٍ جَعَلَتْهُ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ وَعَصَرَتْ عَلَيْهِ عُكَّةً كَانَ فِيهَا سَمْنٌ

✧ Umm Sulaym made a porridge from barley that she had and ground it. He said, 'She sent me to him to invite him. I came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, Umm Sulaym has made a porridge of barley for you." He said, "I and those with me?" He said, "I returned to her and informed her." Abu Talha came and said, "O Messenger of Allah, it is only a mudd or less than a mudd that Umm Sulaym made for you." He said, "I and those with me?" The Prophet ﷺ and those with him arose and entered the house. He said to me, "O Anas, admit ten to me." Ten entered and ate until they were full. Then he said, "Admit ten." Ten entered and ate until they were full. Then he said, "Admit ten to me." I said to Anas, "How many were they?" He said, "Thirty or forty." They ate until they were full. Then the Prophet ﷺ ate, and we ate until we were full. He said, "It was as if nothing had decreased from it." In the hadith of Abu Talha: "a little barley that Umm Sulaym prepared, and she squeezed onto it a small skin that contained clarified butter."
