حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْمُسْتَمْلِي ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيِّ عَنْ أُمِّ خَالِدِ بِنْتِ خَالِدٍ قَالَتْ

كَسَانِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ خَمِيصَةً ذَاتَ أَعْلَامٍ وَأَخَذَ يَمْسَحُ عَلَيْهَا وَيَقُولُ سَنِيَّة وَسنيهِ بِالْحَبَشِيَّةِ طَيِّبٌ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ clothed me in a striped cloak with decorations, and he began wiping over it and saying: “Saniyyah, sanih” — in Abyssinian it means “good.”
