حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ قَالَا ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أُمِّ خَالِدٍ بِنْتِ خَالِدٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أُتِيَ بِثِيَابٍ فِيهَا خَمِيصَةٌ صَغِيرَةٌ فَقَالَ مَنْ تُرَوْنَ تَكْسُو هَذِهِ؟ فَسَكَتَ الْقَوْمُ فَقَالَ ائْتُونِي بِأُمِّ خَالِدٍ فَأُتِيَ بِي أَحْمِلُ فَأَخَذَ الْخَمِيصَةَ بِيَدِهِ فَأَلْبَسَنِي إِيَّاهَا فَقَالَ أَبْلِي وَأَخْلِقِي أَبْلِي وَأَخْلِقِي قَالَتْ فَكَانَ فِيهَا عَلَمٌ أَخْضَرُ أَوْ أَصْفَرُ فَقَالَ يَا أُمَّ خَالِدٍ هَذِهِ سَنَاهُ وَسَنَاهُ بِالْحَبَشِيَّةِ حَسَنٌ

✧ That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought some garments, among them a small striped cloak. He said: “Who do you think should be given this?” The people fell silent, so he said: “Bring me Umm Khalid.” I was brought, carried, and he took the cloak in his hand and put it on me, saying: “Wear it out and make it worn; wear it out and make it worn.” She said: There was a green or yellow decoration on it, and he said: “O Umm Khalid, this is sanah, sanah” — in Abyssinian it means “beautiful.”
