al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 21787

✧ The mother of Ayymanah, the mother of Usamah b. Zaid, was originally the slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . She was given to Khadijah's sister and then she was married to Zaid b. Harithah. Her name is also said to be Barakah.

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا عِيَاضُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ قَالَ

بَكَتْ أُمُّ أَيْمَنَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا لَهَا أَتَبْكِينَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ؟ قَالَتْ إِنَّمَا أَبْكِي عَلَى خَبَرِ السَّمَاءِ كَانَ يَأْتِينَا

✧ Umm Ayman wept over the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so they said to her, "Do you weep over the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he is among the people of Paradise?" She said, "I only weep over the news of heaven; it used to come to us."
