حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانٍ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يُحَدُّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ إِلَّا الْمَرْأَةُ فَإِنَّهَا تُحِدُّ عَلَى زَوْجِهَا أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا وَلَا تَلْبَسُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا إِلَّا ثَوْبَ عَصْبٍ وَلَا تَكْتَحِلُ وَلَا تَطَيَّبُ إِلَّا عِنْدَ أَدْنَى طُهْرِهَا تَطَيَّبُ بِقُسْطٍ وَأَظْفَارٍ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'No one should mourn for a deceased person beyond three days except a woman, for she mourns for her husband four months and ten days. She should not wear a dyed garment except a garment of 'asb, nor apply kohl, nor apply perfume except at the time of her purification, when she may apply qust and azfar.'
