حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ «§أُمِرْنَا
أَنْ لَا نَلْبَسَ فِي الْإِحْدَادِ الثِّيَابَ الْمُصَبَّغَةَ إِلَّا الْعَصْبَ وَأُمْرِنَا أَنْ لَا نُحِدَّ عَلَى هَالِكٍ أَوْ قَالَتْ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ إِلَّا الزَّوْجَ وَأُمِرْنَا أَنْ لَا نَمَسَّ طِيبًا إِلَّا أَدْنَاهُ للطُّهْرِ الْكُسْتَ وَالْأَظْفَارَ»

✧ That we should not wear during the mourning period dyed garments except ʿaṣb (a kind of striped garment), and we were commanded not to mourn over a deceased one — or she said over a dead person — for more than three days except for a husband, and we were commanded not to touch perfume except the least of it for purification: kust (costus) and aẓfār (a kind of perfume).
