حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوَارِبِيُّ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ الْأَدَمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الشُّعَيْثِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ

تُوُفِّيَتِ ابْنَةُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ نُغَسِّلُهَا فَقَالَ اغْسِلْنَهَا ثَلَاثًا أَوْ خَمْسًا فَإِذَا فَرَغْتُنَّ فَائْذَنَّنِي فَلَمَّا فَرَغْنَا آذَنَّاهُ فَأَلْقَى إِلَيْنَا حَقْوَهُ فَقَالَ أَشْعِرْنَهَا إِيَّاهُ «

✧ A daughter of the Prophet ﷺ died. He entered upon us while we were washing her and said, “Wash her three times or five times. When you have finished, inform me.” When we finished, we informed him, and he threw his waist-wrapper to us and said, “Use it as her innermost shroud.”
