حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ الْعَبَّادَانِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَا ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ثنا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ
تُوُفِّيَتْ إِحْدَى بَنَاتِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ اغْسِلْنَهَا ثَلَاثًا أَوْ خَمْسًا أَوْ أَكْثَرَ إِنْ رَأَيْتُنَّ ذَلِكَ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ وَاجْعَلْنَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ كَافُورًا أَوْ شَيْئًا مِنْ كَافُورٍ فَإِذَا فَرَغْتُنَّ فَائْذَنَّنِي فَلَمَّا فَرَغْنَا آذَنَّاهُ فَأَلْقَى إِلَيْنَا حَقْوَهُ وَقَالَ أَشْعِرْنَهَا إِيَّاهُ

✧ One of the daughters of the Messenger of God ﷺ died. The Messenger of God ﷺ came out to us and said, “Wash her three times, or five times, or more if you see fit, with water and sidr, and add in the last washing camphor or some camphor. When you have finished, inform me.” When we finished, we informed him, and he threw his waist-wrapper to us and said, “Use it as her innermost shroud.”
