حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ ثنا خَالِدٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ تَمَّامِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

سَمِعَتْنِي أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ وَأَنَا أَقْرَأُ وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا فَقَالَتْ أَيْ يَا بُنَيَّ هَذِهِ آخِرُ سُورَةٍ «سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَؤُهَا فِي صَلَاةِ الْمَغْرِبِ»

✧ Umm al-Faḍl heard me while I was reciting “By those sent forth in succession,” and she said, “O my son, this is the last sūrah I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ recite in the Maghrib prayer.”
