حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ثنا عَمِّي ثنا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ أُمَّهُ أُمَّ الْفَضْلِ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا «سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا ثُمَّ مَا صَلَّى حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللهُ ﷻ»

✧ His mother, Umm al-Faḍl bt. al-Ḥārith, informed him that she heard the Messenger of God ﷺ recite in Maghrib “By those sent forth in succession,” and then he did not pray until God Almighty took his soul.
