حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ ثنا سَعْدُ بْنُ عَمَّارِ بْنِ شُعَيْثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زُبَيْبِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَدِّي زُبَيْبَ قَالَتْ

دَعَتْنِي كُلَيْبَةُ أَوْ كُلْثُومُ بِنْتُ بُرْثُنٍ الْعَنْبَرِيَّةُ فَقَالَتْ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنَّ هَذَا أَخَذَ زِرْبِيَّتِي كُنْتُ أَلْبَسُ فَلَقِيتُ الرَّجُلَ فَأَتَيْتُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ هَذَا أَخَذَ زِرْبِيَّةَ أُمِّي؟ فَقَالَ «رُدَّ عَلَيْهِ زِرْبِيَّةَ أُمِّهِ»

Translation

✧ Kulaybah – or Kulthūm – bt. Burthun al-ʿAnbarīyah called me and said, “O my son, this man took my zarbiyyah (ornamental carpet) which I used to wear.” So I met the man and brought him to the Prophet ﷺ, and I said, “O Messenger of God, this man took my mother’s zarbiyyah.” He said, “Return to him his mother’s zarbiyyah.”
