حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ثنا سَعْدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ

عَنْ فُرَيْعَةَ بِنْتِ مَالِكٍ أُخْتِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ زَوْجَهَا خَرَجَ فِي طَلَبِ أَعْلَاجٍ لَهُ فَقُتِلَ بِأَطْرَافِ الْقُدُومِ فَأَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَتْ لَهُ حَالَهُ مِنْ حَالِهَا وَذَكَرَتْ لَهُ النُّقْلَةَ إِلَى إِخْوَتِهَا فَأَذِنَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَلَمَّا وَلَّتْ نَادَاهَا فَقَالَ «امْكُثِي فِي بَيْتِكِ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْكِتَابُ أَجَلَهُ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا»

✧ from Furayʿah bt. Mālik, sister of Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, that her husband went out in pursuit of runaway slaves of his and was killed at the edges of al-Qudūm. She came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned to him her situation and mentioned moving to her brothers. The Prophet ﷺ gave her permission. When she turned away, he called her and said: “Stay in your house until the prescribed period reaches its term: four months and ten days.”
