حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدُوسِ بْنِ كَامِلٍ السِّرَاجُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي النَّضْرِ ثنا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْعَمِّيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَتْ

دَخَلَ عَلِيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ قَدْ عَلَاهُ الْغُبَارُ فَأَمَرَ بِقَصْعَةٍ فَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى أَثَرِ الْعَجِينِ فَسَكَبْتُ فِيهَا فَأَمَرَ بِثَوْبٍ فِيمَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ فَسُتِرَ وَقَامَ فَأَفَاضَ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءَ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى الضُّحَى ثَمَانِ رَكَعَاتٍ قَالَ مُجَاهِدٌ فَحَدَّثْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَقَالَ «هِيَ صَلَاةُ الْإِشْرَاقِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me on the day of the conquest of Makkah, covered with dust. He ordered a bowl, and I can almost see the traces of dough in it. I poured water into it, and he ordered a garment to be placed between me and him as a screen. Then he stood and poured water over himself, then he stood and prayed Duha eight rak'ahs. Mujahid said: I narrated this hadith to Ibn 'Abbas, and he said, 'That is the Ishraq prayer.'
