حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ الْمَكِّيُّ ومَسْعَدَةُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْعَطَّارُ قَالَا ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ أَنَّ أَبَا مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى عَقِيلِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ أَخْبَرَتْهُ

أَنَّهَا جَاءَتْ بِرَجُلَيْنِ مِنْ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ يَوْمَ فَتَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَكَّةَ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا عَلِيٌّ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا يَا أُمَّ هَانِئٍ؟ لأَقْتُلَنَّهُما قَالَتْ فَأَغْلَقْتُ عَلَيْهِمَا ثُمَّ ذَهَبْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَوَجَدْتُهُ يَغْتَسِلُ وَابْنَتُهُ فَاطِمَةُ تَسْتُرُهُ بِثَوْبٍ فَاغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ الثَّوْبَ فَالْتَحَفَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى الضُّحَى ثَمَانِ رَكَعَاتٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ «مَا لَكِ يَا أُمَّ هَانِئٍ؟» قُلْتُ إِنِّي أَجَرْتُ رَجُلَيْنِ مِنْ أَحْمَائِي فَجَاءَ عَلِيٌّ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَقْتُلَهُمَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «قَدْ أَمَّنَا مَنْ أَمَّنْتِ وَأَجَرْنَا مَنْ أَجَرْتِ»

✧ She brought two men from Banu Makhzum on the day the Messenger of God ﷺ conquered Makkah. ʿAli entered upon her and said: “What is this, O Umm Haniʾ? I will surely kill them.” She said: So I locked the door on them, then I went to the Messenger of God ﷺ and found him performing ghusl while his daughter Fatimah was screening him with a garment. He performed ghusl, then took the garment and wrapped himself in it, then prayed Duha as eight rakʿahs. Then he said: “What is the matter with you, O Umm Haniʾ?” I said: “I have granted protection to two men from my in-laws, and ʿAli came wanting to kill them.” The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “We have granted safety to the one you have granted safety, and we have granted protection to the one you have granted protection.”
