✧ Abu Salih, servant of Umm Hanee', narrates from Umm Hanee'

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى أُمِّ هَانِئٍ عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ قَالَتْ

دَخَلَ عَلِيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَاغْتَسَلَ وَصَلَّى وَهُوَ مُقَنَّعٌ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ ثَمَانِ رَكَعَاتٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أَجَرْتُ حَمَوَيَّ وَإِنَّ ابْنَ أُمِّي زَعَمَ أَنَّهُ سَيَقْتُلُهُ تَعْنِي عَلِيًّا فَقَالَ «يَا أُمَّ هَانِئٍ إِنَّا قَدْ أَجَرْنَا مَنْ أَجَرْتِ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ entered upon me on the day of the conquest, bathed, and prayed eight rak'ahs while veiled in a single garment. I said: O Messenger of God, I have granted protection to my two brothers-in-law, and the son of my mother—meaning 'Ali—claims he will kill them. He said: "O Umm Hani', we have granted protection to whomever you have protected."
