حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ السَّقْطِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ الْعَمِّيُّ ثنا عَاصِمُ ابْنُ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى أُمِّ هَانِئٍ عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَتْ

مَرَّ بِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي قَدْ كَبِرْتُ فَمُرْنِي بِعَمَلٍ أَعْمَلُهُ وَأَنَا جَالِسَةٌ فَقَالَ «سَبِّحِي اللهَ مِائَةَ تَسْبِيحَةٍ فَإِنَّهَا تَعْدِلُ مِائَةَ رَقَبَةٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَاحْمَدِي اللهَ مِائَةَ تَحْمِيدَةٍ فَإِنَّهَا تَعْدِلُ مِائَةَ فَرَسٍ مُسْرَجَةٍ مُلْجَمَةٍ تَحْمِلِينَ عَلَيْهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَكَبِّرِي اللهَ مِائَةَ تَكْبِيرَةٍ فَإِنَّهَا تَعْدِلُ مِائَةَ بَدَنَةٍ مُتَقَبَّلَةٍ وَهَلِّلِي اللهَ مِائَةَ تَهْلِيلَةٍ فَإِنَّهَا تَمْلَأُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُرْفَعُ لِأَحَدٍ عَمِلٌ أَفْضَلُ مِنْهَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَأْتِيَ بِمِثْلِ مَا أَتَيْتِ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ passed by me one day, and I said: O Messenger of God, I have grown old, so direct me to an action I can do while sitting. He said: "Glorify God one hundred times with tasbih—it equals freeing one hundred slaves from the descendants of Ishmael. Praise God one hundred times with tahmid—it equals one hundred saddled and bridled horses you charge upon in the path of God. Magnify God one hundred times with takbir—it equals one hundred accepted sacrificial camels. Declare God's oneness one hundred times with tahlil—it fills what is between the heaven and the earth, and no one's deed is raised as better than it unless he brings the like of what you have brought."
