حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى أُمِّ هَانِئٍ عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ

أَنَّهَا جَاءَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي قَدْ أَجَرْتُ حَمَوَيَّ وَزَعَمَ ابْنُ أُمِّي تَعْنِي عَلِيًّا أَنَّهُ قَاتِلَهُ فَقَالَ «يَا أُمَّ هَانِئٍ قَدْ أَجَرْنَا مَنْ أَجَرْتِ» ثُمَّ سَكَبَ لَهُ مَاءً ثُمَّ سَتَرَ فَاغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ خَالَفَ ثَوْبًا عَلَيْهِ طَرَفَيْهِ عَلَى عَاتِقَيْهِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ

✧ She came to the Messenger of God ﷺ on the day of the conquest and said: O Messenger of God, I have granted protection to my brother-in-law, and the son of my mother—meaning 'Ali—claims he will kill him. He said: "O Umm Hani', we have granted protection to whomever you have protected." Then she poured water for him and screened him, so he bathed. Then he changed into a garment, placing its two ends over his shoulders, and prayed the noon prayer as four rak'ahs.
