حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَا ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَتْ

خَطَبَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَاعْتَذَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَعَذَرَنِي فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ {إِنَّا أَحْلَلْنَا لَكَ أَزْوَاجَكَ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {وَبَنَاتِ خَالَاتِكَ اللَّاتِي هَاجَرْنَ مَعَكَ} فَلَمْ أَكُنْ أُحِلُّ لَهُ لَمْ أُهَاجِرْ مَعَهُ كُنْتُ مِنَ الطُّلَقَاءِ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ proposed to me, and I made an excuse to him, so he excused me. Then God revealed: {Indeed, We have made lawful to you your wives} up to His saying {and the daughters of your maternal aunts who emigrated with you}. For I was not lawful to him because I had not emigrated with him—I was among the freed ones.
