✧ It was announced in the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ: 'The prayer is to be gathered.' So we went out and sat behind the men's shoulders. She said: The Messenger of God ﷺ ascended the pulpit, praised God and extolled Him, then said: Indeed, your brother Tamim al-Dari told me about cousins of his who rode the sea, and the wind carried them away until it forced them to an island among the islands of the sea. So they went out asking about the way, and they met a creature of God's creation the like of which they had never seen before, greater than it; it had nothing on it of what the children of Adam weave, and hair covered it. He said: So we asked it about the way, and it said: If you want to ask about the way, someone who will tell you and who yearns for your talk—then go to this monastery. We said: Tell us, what are you? It said: I am al-Dassasah. So we knew that it was a woman. Then we went to the monastery and entered it, and behold, there was a creature greater than which we had never seen, filled with iron between its collarbones and its ankles, with its eye wiped away. So we asked him about the way, and he said: I will not talk to you until you talk to me about what I ask you. We said: Ask about whatever seems good to you. He said: Tell me about the Prophet of the Arabs—has he come out yet? We said: Yes. He said: To what does he call? So we told him. He said: How quick are the people to what he calls them to? We said: They are quick. He said: That is better for them. He said: Tell me about Buhayrat al-Tabariyyah—what did it do? We said: It overflows. He said: Tell me about the spring of Zughar? We said: It overflows. He said: Ask about whatever seems good to you. He said: We said to him: What are you? He said: I am the Dajjal. By the One in whose hand is my soul, there will remain no land of God's land except that I will tread it with these two feet of mine, except Taybah. Then the Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'This is Taybah'—meaning Madinah.
