✧ Amir al-Shabi narrated to me: Fatimah bt. Qays narrated to me, saying: One day the Messenger of God ﷺ came out, prayed the midday prayer, then sat. The people were alarmed. He said, 'O people, I have not stood in this place of mine for alarm, but Tamim al-Dari came to me and told me a report that prevented me from taking the midday nap, along with joy and comfort of the eye. I wanted to give you the good news of the joy of your Prophet. He told me that a group of his paternal cousins went to sea, and a storm struck them and drove them to an island. They sat in the ship's boat until they came out to the island, and there was a shaggy thing, very hairy, and they did not know whether it was a man or a woman. They greeted it, and it returned their greeting. They said, "Will you not tell us?" It said, "I am not going to tell you, nor ask you. But this monastery, which you have seen, in it is someone who is longing for news of you, to tell you and to ask you." We said, "What are you?" It said, "I am al-Jassasa." They went until they came to the monastery, and there was a man bound in iron, tightly bound, showing grief, complaining much. They greeted him, and he returned their greeting and said, "Who are you?" We said, "From the Arabs." He said, "What have the Arabs done? Has their Prophet come out yet?" They said, "Yes." He said, "What have they done?" We said, "Good. They believed in him, followed him, and accepted him." He said, "That is better for them." They said, "He had enemies, and God made him victorious over them." He said, "Do the Arabs have one god, one word, and one religion?" They said, "Yes." He said, "What has the spring of Zughar done?" They said, "It is overflowing. Its people drink their fill from it and water their crops from it." He said, "What have the date palms between Uman and Baysan done?" They said, "They yield their fruit every year." He said, "What has the lake of Tiberias done?" They said, "It is full." He sighed, then sighed again, then swore, "If I were to come out of this place of mine, I would not leave any land of God's land without treading on it, except Taybah. I have no authority over it." The Messenger of God ﷺ said, "This is among what made me happy," he said it three times. "Taybah is al-Madinah. God has made my two sanctuaries forbidden to the Dajjal." Then the Messenger of God ﷺ swore, "By the One besides whom there is no god, there is no narrow road or wide road, no easy path or mountain in it, but that an angel stands over it with a drawn sword until the Day of Resurrection. The Dajjal cannot enter it against its people." He said: Al-Shabi said: I met al-Muharrar b. Abi Hurayrah and narrated to him the hadith of Fatimah. He said, 'I bear witness that my father narrated to me just as Fatimah narrated to you, except that he said, "He is in the east."' Then I met al-Qasim b. Muhammad, and he said, 'I bear witness that Aisha narrated to me just as Fatimah narrated to you, except that she said, "The two sanctuaries are forbidden to him: Makkah and al-Madinah."' The wording is from the hadith of Yahya b. Said, and the others are similar.
