حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ ثنا هُشَيْمٌ أَنَا مُغِيرَةُ وَحُصَيْنٌ وَسَيَّارٌ وَدَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ وَمُجَالِدٌ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ وَأَشْعَثُ كُلُّهُمْ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَسَأَلْتُهَا عَنْ قَضَاءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ «طَلَّقَنِي زَوْجِي ألْبَتَّةَ فَخَاصَمْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي السُّكْنَى وَالنَّفَقَةِ فَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سُكْنَى وَلَا نَفَقَةً وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَعْتَدَّ فِي بَيْتِ ابْنِ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ»

✧ I entered upon Fatimah bt. Qays in Madinah and asked her about the ruling of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She said, "My husband divorced me irrevocably, and I brought a dispute to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding lodging and maintenance. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not grant me lodging or maintenance, and he commanded me to observe my 'iddah in the house of Ibn Umm Maktum."
