حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ

أَنَّهَا سَأَلْتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ طَلَّقَنِي زَوْجِي وَلَمْ يَفْرِضْ لِي نَفَقَةً وَلَا سُكْنَى فَقَالَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّ زَوْجَكِ لَا يُرَاجِعُكِ إِنَّمَا السُّكْنَى وَالنَّفَقَةُ لِلَّتِي يُرَاجِعُهَا زَوْجُهَا»

✧ That she asked the Prophet ﷺ and said, "My husband divorced me and did not assign me maintenance or lodging." The Prophet ﷺ said to her, "Your husband will not take you back. Lodging and maintenance are only for the one whose husband may take her back."
