حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الصَّابونِيُّ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ثنا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ النُّمَيْرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو حَازِمٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ
أَنَّ زَوْجَهَا طَلَّقَهَا فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَكَانَ يُرْسِلُ إِلَيْهَا بِنَفَقَةٍ فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ وَاللهِ لَأُكَلِّمَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَإِنْ كَانَتْ لِي نَفَقَةٌ آخُذُ مِمَّا يُصْلِحُنِي وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ لِي نَفَقَةٌ لَمْ آخُذُ شَيْئًا فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «لَا سُكْنَى لَكِ وَلَا نَفَقَةَ»

✧ Her husband divorced her during the time of the Prophet Muhammad, may ﷺ. He used to provide for her, but when she saw that he had stopped providing for her, she said, "By Allah, I will speak to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. If I have a provision, I will take what is sufficient for me, and if I do not have a provision, I will not take anything." So I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "You will not have a place to live nor will you receive any provision."
