حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَزْرَقُ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ قَالَا ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَحْتَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ فَطَلَّقَهَا ألْبَتَّةَ فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ تَبْتَغِي النَّفَقَةَ فَقَالُوا لَيْسَ لَكِ عَلَيْنَا نَفَقَةٌ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «لَيْسَ لَكِ عَلَيْهِمْ نَفَقَةٌ وَعَلَيْكِ الْعِدَّةُ فَانْتَقِلِي إِلَى أُمِّ شَرِيكٍ» ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِنَّ أُمَّ شَرِيكٍ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْهَا إِخْوَتُهَا مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ الْأَوَّلِينَ انْتَقِلِي إِلَى ابْنِ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ فَإِنَّهُ رَجُلٌ أَعْمَى إِنْ وَضَعْتِ ثِيَابَكِ لَمْ يَرَ شَيْئًا فَلَا تُفَوِّتِينَا بِنَفْسِكِ» فَلَمَّا حَلَّتْ ذَكَرَهَا رِجَالٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَيْنَ أَنْتِ مِنْ أُسَامَةَ؟» وَكَأَنَّ أَهْلَهَا كَرِهُوا ذَلِكَ فَقَالَتْ وَاللهِ لَا أَنْكِحُ إِلَّا الَّذِي قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَنَكَحَتْهُ

✧ She was married to a man from Banu Makhzum, and he divorced her irrevocably. She sent to his family seeking maintenance, and they said, "You have no maintenance from us." That reached the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he said, "You have no maintenance from them, and you must observe the waiting period. Move to Umm Sharik." Then he said, "Umm Sharik receives visits from her brothers among the first Emigrants. Move to Ibn Umm Maktum, for he is a blind man; if you put down your garments, he will not see anything. So do not miss us with regard to yourself." When she became free, men proposed to her, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "Where are you with regard to Usamah?" Her family seemed to dislike that, but she said, "By God, I will not marry except the one whom the Messenger of God ﷺ mentioned," so she married him.
