al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 21357

✧ Fatimah daughter of Hamza son of Abd al-Muttalib is nicknamed Umm al-Fadl, and it is also said that her name is Ummamah, and it is also said to be Umarah.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

جَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ حُبَيْشٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ أَفَأَدَعُ الصَّلَاةَ؟ فَقَالَ «إِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَدَعِيها قَدْرَهَا ثُمَّ اغْسِلِي الدَّمَ وَصَلِّي»

✧ Fatimah bt. Hubaysh came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “I have prolonged vaginal bleeding. Should I abandon the prayer?” He said, “When menstruation begins, leave it for its usual duration, then wash away the blood and pray.”
