حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ قَالَ انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُ الْقَوْمَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ فِي آخِرِ الْحَدِيثِ أُخْتِي فَسَأَلْتُ الْقَوْمَ فَحَدَّثَنِي أَصْحَابُهُ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُمْ

«أَنَّ ابْنَةً لِحَمْزَةَ وَهِيَ أُخْتٌ لِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ لِأُمِّهِ مَاتَ مَوْلَاهَا وَتَرَكَ ابْنَتَهُ وَابْنَةَ حَمْزَةَ فَقَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَالَ نِصْفَيْنِ»

✧ A daughter of Hamzah, who was a sister of ʿAbd Allah b. Shaddad b. al-Had through his mother, her client died leaving his daughter and the daughter of Hamzah, so the Messenger of God ﷺ divided the wealth into two halves.
