حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ ثنا أَبِي ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ بِنْتِ حَمْزَةَ وَكَانَتْ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ أُخْتُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ لِأُمِّهِ قَالَتْ

«مَاتَ لَنَا مُكَاتَبٌ هِيَ أَعْتَقَتْهُ فَتَرَكَ ابْنَتَهُ وَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَسَمَ مِيرَاثَهُ فَأَعْطَى ابْنَتَهُ النِّصْفَ وَأَعْطَى أُمَّ الْفَضْلِ النِّصْفَ الْبَاقِي»

✧ A slave of ours who had a contract of manumission died—she had freed him—and he left his daughter. The Messenger of God ﷺ divided his inheritance, giving his daughter half and Umm al-Fadl the remaining half.
