ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَزْهَرَ الْأُبُلِّيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ الْعَتَكِيُّ ثنا هِلَالُ بْنُ حَقٍّ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَخِيهِ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ الْجَذْمِيِّ عَنِ الْجَارُودِ قَالَ
كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَفَرٍ وَفِي الظُّهْرِ قِلَّةٌ فَتَذَاكَرْنَا مَا يَكْفِينَا مِنَ الظُّهْرِ قُلْنَا ذَوْدٌ نَأْتِي عَلَيْهِمْ بِجُرُفٍ فَنَسْتَمْتِعُ بِظُهُورِهِمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «ضَالَّةُ الْمُسْلِمِ حَرْقُ النَّارِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَلَا تَقْرَبَنَّهَا»

✧ We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey, and there were few riding camels. We discussed what riding camels would suffice us, and we said, “A small herd we come upon at a water-worn bank, so we may make use of their backs.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The stray camel of a Muslim is the burning of the Fire” three times, “so do not approach it.”
