✧ The Greenery of the Prophet's Servant ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ إِسْرَائِيلَ الْقَطِيعِيُّ ثنا حِبَّانُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ وَدِيعَةَ عَنْ خَنْسَاءَ بِنْتِ خِدَامٍ قَالَتْ

أَنْكَحَنِي أَبِي وَأَنَا كَارِهَةٌ وَأَنَا بِكْرٌ فَشَكَوْتُ ذَلِكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «لَا تُنْكِحْهَا وَهِيَ كَارِهَةٌ»

✧ My father married me off while I was unwilling, and I was a virgin. I complained about that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, 'Do not marry her off while she is unwilling.'
